What happens at the creative studio?

The creative studio offers students a studio space to work on their own creative projects. Every evening from 17:00 the creative studio is open and hosted by a studio expert. Want to know more about creative writing? Stop by every Tuesday evening and chat with our creative writing specialist. Want to know more about repurposing vintage clothing? Weekly schedule

The creative studio is open Monday to Friday from 17:00 for students to work freely on creative projects. Our studio experts are available within these hours. Each specialising in a different craft, they are always on hand to guide, encourage, and support you, wherever you’re at on your creative journey.

  • Rosalie, our textiles expert, will be in the studio from 17:00–22:30.

    Rosalie provides a fresh perspective on the fashion industry. She thrives on pushing boundaries, believing that nothing is too crazy. Together, you can experiment with materials and create new fabrics, play with shapes in a garment, and bring all your ideas to life.

  • Harriet, our creative writing expert, will be in the studio from 17:00–22:30.

    Harriet is a writer, editor, and artist living in Rotterdam. Working predominantly in the arts and cultural field with galleries, artists, and academies, she enjoys supporting and guiding writers to say what it is that they really want to say.

  • Chiara, our design expert, will be in the studio from 17:00–22:30.

    With a background in both product and spatial design and a passion and study for photography, Chiara has tackled a range of different projects. As a creative design expert, she guides students through design thinking, encouraging them to connect the dots.

  • Michiel, our drawing and architecture expert, will be in the studio from 17:00–22:30.

    Michiel is a Dutch visual artist with a background in architectural history and theory. He is available to support students in developing their drawing and architecture projects. He is an active and attentive listener and really tries to understand what a student wants in order to help them achieve their goals.

  • Yelizaveta, our storytelling expert, will be in the studio every other Friday from 17:00–22:30.

    She is a critical spatial practitioner working at the intersection of art and architecture.

    Yelizaveta hopes to accompany you on your journey of experimenting with ways of locating threads of thoughts and experiences and weaving your stories into existence. She will be able to advise on entry points, references and various approaches to storytelling within more defined disciplines such as literature, film, folklore, illustration, etc.
